Note to self: when already distracted and not wanting to work...do NOT roam through various folks' pages on LJ...will find cool links with cool pictures and I REALLY now don't want to be at work.

Gorgeous stuff...thanks for sharing...

Very nice stuff...I wish they'd label them with the names of places instead of just "1" or "6" because one or two look like Half Dome at Yosemite (although I've never been there).

Just 'cause I'm curious: B&W or color or does it depend on the picture? :) I'm interested based on an email exhange...

Email and ask : )I personally love his black and whites the most.
I think it depends on what camera he used.

I'll have to do that. I like B&W for certain effects and color for others. *grin* To each their own, though, right? After all...I've said it before and I'll say it again...and again...if we all liked the same things it'd be a terribly boring world. LOL Cheers!

If you click on the thumbnails, almost all of them say where the picture was taken and some of them have some interesting description the place and how the shot was taken. They also have a much larger image, so you can really look at the ones that grab you.

Nope. I get "Color Landscapes 2" and the copyright info. I wonder if it's the browser, because the iMac I have (I love my friends!) is an older version a friend fixed up for me ('cause I wasn't picky about what I got for a computer) and the browser is Safari *shrug* which more or less is working great for me, but I also can't see the text editing toolbar in my email program and the "help" function says that the text toolbar is only available in Internet Explorer version something or higher. *shrug* Eh. Life will go on. I still like looking at the gorgeous pictures!!!

That's just weird. What I see is just normal HTML with CSS, no scripty stuff. The server could be set to serve up different stuff based on the browser, but I don't understand why they would. It's not tied to Internet Explorer; I only use Firefox.

Not that I would ever do anything non-work related while at work *grin* but I get the same thing..."color landscapes 4" etc. with the copyright date...but still enjoying the pretty pictures. Just out of curiosity I sent an email so we'll see what happens.

Americans have the wrong work ethic. We should take naps after work and then (maybe) the rest of the afternoon would be productive.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......really...I'm awake. (Not so much...)

I think I figured out the confusion. I thought you were talking about TimeCatcher.com not telling where the pictures are taken; I finally looked at uwe.net and I don't see anything more than you're describing. Just me being dumb, since you were replying to the comment about uwe.net.

Eh...I don't know that I'd call it dumb...just wires crossed.

Is it Friday yet?

Gee *thanks* I now have spent an hour when I was supposedly working on that paper downloading photos to put into my screen saver program. (grin)

Seriously, thanks, I passed it on to my inlaws - my father in law has been taking some really great nature photography and even making a small income from it selling prints and buttons and stuff at the parks they work at (they are retired and work-campers with their RV).
