DW is DreamWidth, a software platform almost identical to LiveJournal founded on the principles of not being supported by advertising and supporting freedom of speech. Basically LJ without the stuff that people have been upset about with LJ for several years, since they started placing ads on free accounts, and more so since a Russian company bought it out. |
